I wanted to share the update below that may be helpful to Georgia businesses:
- President Trump has signed into law the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) Flexibility Act, legislation that gives the SBA additional flexibility for PPP loan forgiveness, including extending forgiveness from eight weeks to 24 weeks, eliminating restrictions that limit loan terms to two years and delaying the deadline to rehire employees to offset the effect of enhanced unemployment insurance.
As a businesswoman who has signed the front of a paycheck as well as the back, I know the challenge uncertainty brings to any business. I will do everything I can to help our small businesses and our employees across Georgia during this COVID-19 pandemic.
- SBA and the Department of Treasury have said they will promptly issue rules and guidance for small businesses with PPP loans. You can read more here.
Please feel free to forward this email t others who may find it helpful.
