Holds COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic in Albany
Dublin Ga. — The Carl Vinson VA Medical Center is hosting a COVID-19 vaccine clinic in Albany, Georgia at the former high school cafeteria located at 801 West Resident Rd., Albany, GA 31701 on Saturday, March 27 and Sunday, March 28 by appointment only. Clinic hours are from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and appointments are available for Veterans enrolled in VA healthcare. Veterans interested in scheduling an appointment should call 800-595-5229 or 478-272-1210 ext. 2843.
Enrolled Veterans with an appointment will be required to show photo identification to receive the vaccine.
Veterans not yet enrolled for VA healthcare and want to receive the vaccine can schedule an appointment and enroll in VA healthcare prior to receiving the vaccine. For Veterans wanting the vaccine, but are not yet enrolled with the VA, please bring a copy of your DD-214, photo identification, and visit the enrollment team that will be on-site to register you into the system prior to your appointment.
“Albany was one of the initial COVID hotspots in Georgia and we wanted to bring a vaccination clinic closer to our Albany Veterans. It’s critical that we vaccinate as many Veterans as possible to help the community beat the pandemic,” David L. Whitmer, FACHE, medical center director, said. “I encourage all Veterans to get their vaccination as a proactive measure of commitment to protecting their community.”
Veterans who receive their first Moderna vaccine this weekend will be rescheduled for their second vaccine the weekend of April 24th.
