Stepping Stone Child Advocacy center
Dear Community partner,
Stepping Stone has been serving children and families in Laurens County and the surrounding area for 20 years. As we reach this 20 year milestone, we are working to raise $20,000 at our 6th Annual Child Abuse Prevention Luncheon.
The Luncheon will take place on April 9th at the First Baptist Family Life Center at 11:45. Each year the Dublin Exchange Club, along with Stepping Stone Child Advocacy Center organize this event to raise awareness for child abuse. The funds raised will directly benefit children who have suffered physical abuse, sexual abuse or neglect.
In 2018, Stepping Stone provided 198 Forensic Interviews and 40 Forensic Medical Examinations in relation to allegations of abuse. We provided mental health treatment and assessment to hundreds of children and their non-offending family members. Our parenting program runs throughout the year and benefits over 40 individuals, while our Young Scholars Tutoring program continues to grow and serves over 40 students throughout the community.
We see the pain and devastation that abuse causes to individuals and families on a daily basis. We are asking you or your business/organization to join us as we strive to create a community where children flourish free from abuse and neglect.
Help us commemorate 20 years of service to our community by becoming an official Stepping Stone sponsor. Please complete the enclosed form and return by mail or email before Tuesday, March 26th. We look forward to working with you to prevent child abuse in our community.
