J. Bent Gay, Jr.,  Past Chair, is the owner of Gayco Healthcare. A native of Dublin, Georgia, Bent returned home in 1988 after earning a Bachelor of Science in Micro-Biology (1985) and a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (1988) from The University of Georgia. He returned to Dublin and worked in a local retail pharmacy. He purchased his business in 1993 and renamed his company in 1995. Since that time his company has multiplied more than 10 fold.  Gay is married and the father of three. Bent's Board term will expire December 31, 2017.







Larry Schenck, Incoming Chair 2018, is a banking officer with Morris Bank, where he serves as the IT/IS and Security Officer. He has been with Morris Bank since 2007. Larry has 25 years of business experience. He holds an Associate Degree from Gordon College and Bachelor of Science Degree in management and a minor in computer-based information systems from Georgia College in Milledgeville. Larry was an honor graduated from the University of Georgia Banking School in 2010. Larry has been a member of the Dublin Exchange Club for nine years where he has served as club president in 2011 and committee chairman for several committees, most recently the Christmas Parade committee. He was voted Exchangite of the Year in 1996. He attends Pine Forest United Methodist Church. Larry is married to the former Cecilia Hardy from Soperton and they have two daughters Caroline and Ansley. Larry's Board term will expire December 31, 2019. 






Chuck Bass, Vice Chair of Community Development is the President/Therapist of Bass Physical Therapy & Rehab Services. Chuck is a 1978 graduate of Dublin High School and a 1983 graduate of Georgia State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy. Chuck is a member of Dublin Exchange Club, having served as president as well as being on the Board of Directors, and has been Chairman of the annual pancake supper during the St. Patrick’s Festival. Chuck has served on the Board of Directors for AFAC Lighthouse, Trinity Christian School and the Dublin Country Club, as well as serving as co-president of Trinity Christian School Athletic Booster Club. He and wife, Denise, have two daughters, Whitney and Kami and one granddaughter, Ivie. Chuck's Board term expires December 31, 2017.





 Heath Taylor, President/CEO, Dublin-Laurens Chamber of Commerce, is a native of Augusta Ga. Heath worked as the Vice President of Business and Community Development at the Aiken Chamber of Commerce and most recently served as Vice President at the Columbia County Chamber of Commerce in Evans, GA. Heath is currently attending Aiken Technical College pursuing a degree in Marketing. He has completed three years of training at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Institute through the University of Georgia. He served as Board President of the Midland Valley Preparatory Charter School for two years. He served as Community Lay Director for the Georgia-Lina Walk to Emmaus and currently serves as Pastor, Gough Baptist Church. Heath is married to Tammy and has three children, Trenton, Camden, and Kyla.













Michael Maffett graduated DHS in 1991 & GSU in 1996 with a BS in Finance emphasizing in Risk Management. Upon graduating from GSU, Michael partnered with Blount, Burke, Wimberly & Hendricks in Statesboro, GA to begin his insurance career. October 1996, he moved back to Dublin where he joined the family business that his great-grandfather started in 1902 where he is now President. The name of the agency has since changed to Curry – Maffett Insurance. He is a member of First United Methodist Church, Dublin Rotary Club, the 2011 Leadership Georgia Class as well as the 1998 Dublin – Laurens Co. Leadership class & has served on the boards of the Independent Ins. Agents of GA, United Way, Habitat for Humanity, Chamber of Commerce and is currently VP of Dublin Country Club and Chair of the Dublin – Laurens County Airport Committee. He and his wife, Natalie, have two boys, Davis and Charlie.  Micheal's Board term will expire October 31, 2017.







 R. Jeffery Cannon is President of the Citizens Bank of Laurens County & has been with the Bank for over 14 years. A graduate of Dublin High School & Mercer University, with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. He is also a graduate of the Georgia Bankers Association CEO Academy, Georgia Bankers Association Operations School, Georgia Bankers Association Audit School, & the Graduate School of Banking of the South at LSU. He is also a member of the Georgia Bankers Association’s “The League” CEO & President's Roundtable. Involved with the Dublin Laurens County Chamber of Commerce for many years, serving on the Board of Directors, & then serving as Chair in 2004-2005. The Dublin Laurens St. Patrick’s Festival since returning to Dublin in 1982, served as Order of Shillelagh President in 1996, Vice Chairman of the Festival in 1997 & Chairman in 1998. He was recognized as Man of the Year in 2004 & received the R.E. Dick Killebrew Award in 1999. Member of the Rotary Club of Dublin since 1994, was Club President in 2001-2002, has been a director for three terms & is a Paul Harris Fellow & a Will Watt Fellow. Leadership Dublin Laurens County he was Board Chairman, is currently on the Board & was a previous Board member from 1998-2002. Served on the Board & Chaired the local American Heart Association. Past member & Past President of the Dublin Kiwanis Club, past Board member for local American Cancer Society & Stepping Stone. Jeff is married to Cheryl; they have four children, Camden, Ridge, Candice, & Rachel. Jeff is a deacon & serves on the Finance Committee at First Baptist Church, where they are members. 



Priscilla Adams Smith is the Director of Georgia Military College Dublin campus. She was previously the Director of Georgia Military College Sandersville Campus for three years. Prior to coming to Georgia Military College, she was employed at East Georgia College in Swainsboro, Georgia as Director of Continuing Education and Assistant Director of Financial Aid. She got my Bachelors and Master’s Degrees in Health Education from Georgia College in Milledgeville and my Ed. S in Educational Leadership from Georgia Southern in Statesboro Georgia. She has been working in higher education for approximately 10 years. Before she started working in higher education, she was the Outreach/Education Coordinator for a non-profit public health organization for 10 years. She was born, raised and live in Dublin. She is married and has an adult child who lives in Marietta, Georgia. In her spare time, She enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching football, basketball and reading. 



















Maryalice Morro, RN, MSN, Director Dublin VAMC
Ms. Marro is responsible for the Cal Vinson VAMC in Dublin, GA, consisting of a Joint Commission accredited complexity level-3 Medical Center and six Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) that serve Veterans in 54 counties in Middle Georgia.  The Medical Center has 27 acute/transitional care beds. CBOCs are located in Milledgeville, Macon, Perry, Albany, Tifton and Brunswick GA. Prior career includes Global Quality and Training Director, TRICARE overseas Program, International SOS Government Serivces, Inc., Chief of Staff, Navy Medicine East, Portsmouth,VA, Commanding Officer, Naval Hospital Pensacola, FL, Executive Officer, Naval Hospital Lemoore, CA, Director, Nursing and Patient Services, Naval Hospital Yokosuka, Japan.
