Hugh Gillis Public Fishing Area
Located in Laurens County, east of Dublin, the property contains a large 109 acres lake surrounded by 640 acres of gently rolling terrain. Major species found at the fishing area are large-mouth bass, bluegill, redear sunfish, channel catfish, and crappie. The Fishing Area’s amenities include a concrete boat ramp, a fish cleaning station, a fishing pier, restrooms, and a covered pavilion picnic area. Open year round, seven days a week, sunrise to sunset.

Shamrock Bowling Center
The bowling center provides family recreational bowling and leagues, a game room with a redemption center, party rooms, cafe, adult lounge and a pro shop for all of your bowling equipment needs. Open 7 days a week.

Southern Pines Regional Park
Southern Pines Regional Park is a 120 acre facility developed for Dublin-Laurens County.  The park features 15 baseball-softball fields, 5 soccer-football fields, a walking trail, a picnic area, a multipurpose field and an Ag & Exposition Center.  Southern Pines is the site of many youth and adult softball/baseball tournaments.  The Park is conveniently located near I-16, restaurants and motels. The Oconee River
The beautiful Oconee River is the site of the crossing of Spanish Explorer Hernando DeSoto and Sherman's Army.  Near Dublin, the river is home of the Rubust Red Horse Sucker - a fish once thought to be extinct.  The Oconee was one of the first of Georgia's rivers to support inland water navigation, and there are Mississippian period mounds located along the banks of the river.

Beaverdam Wildlife Management Area
12,000 acres along the Oconee River are home to white tailed deer, wild turkey, gray squirrel, bobcats, river otters, beavers, blue heron and kingfisher.  To get to Beverdam Wildlife Management Area: turn right off of Hwy 441 North onto Old Toomsboro Road.  Go approximately 5 miles to Evergreen Church and turn right.  Go approximately 3 miles and turn right at the boat ramp sign.  The road will lead you to the Oconee River.  

River Bend WMA
Escape to nature's solitude at River Bend Wildlife Management Area, where hunting, birding, fishing, primitive camping and hiking await 0.2 miles off I-16 at Exit 58. With over 3500 acres to explore, River Bend offers a breathe of fresh air and the region's best bird watching.

Historic/Downtown Dublin

Dublin Carnegie

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, Dublin’s Carnegie Library was constructed in 1904. Andrew Carnegie funded $10,000 towards the construction of Dublin’s Carnegie Library with the condition that the City of Dublin provide at least $1,000 annually to the library and the community match Carnegie’s $10,000 gift. Hal M. Stanley, a prominent public servant and member of the board of education, led the effort to convince the city to accept Carnegie’s gift. This iconic building served as a library and museum until reimagined in 2014 as an art gallery, Downtown Visitors Center, and event venue. The Dublin Carnegie is located at 314 Academy

Dublin-Laurens Heritage Center
Housed in the Laurens County Library, the Dublin-Laurens Heritage Center offers accessible and historical information to the public. Their services include internet access, inter-library loans, and research assistance. The Center’s collection consists of federal census records, microfilmed court records, death indexes, military abstracts, land lottery records, and so much more. The hours of operation are Monday, Tuesday, & Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Dublin-Laurens Heritage & Cultural Museum
The Museum serves as a resource for historical information about the area. The collections and exhibits include photographs, paintings, Native American relics, journals, letters and many other historical artifacts. The Carnegie Library Building, which houses the Dublin-Laurens Museum, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Museum is open Tuesday through Friday 1:00 to 4:30 and is free of charge.

Gillis Photo Gallery at The Ice House
Using The Ice House as a backdrop, artist Gil Gillis displays a perfect blend of modern media and classic technique in this downtown gallery. Using everything from wild honey to digitally enhanced photography, Gillis captures a world both surreal, yet sensory. The Ice House is located at 213 South Monroe Street, 478-278-7224

Theatre Dublin
Built in 1934 and renovated in 1996, Theatre Dublin serves as a performing arts center. Theatre Dublin can accommodate over 600 people. The Theatre has featured musical acts, comedians, youth theatre, pageants, and dance performances.

Market on Madison
Enjoy beautiful historic downtown Dublin. An added feature to our Main Street is Market on Madison.  Located on Madison Street behind Theatre Dublin, it is host to a wonderful farmers market with local fruits, vegetables, jams, jellies, artists, and even live entertainment. Visit this wonderful facility and experience all Downtown Dublin has to offer.

Old Post Office
Old Post Office (TM): Winner of the 2013 Marguerite Williams Award for Excellence in Restoration, Dublin's Old Post Office (TM) has been meticulously restored. Aided by original blueprints and 1,500 pages of century-old correspondence from the National Archives, owner Jeff Davis IV and his team met the restoration challenge,restoring and replacing original fixtures and removing added walls, including a second story courtroom added during Prohibition.Tours available Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Fred Roberts
Once Dublin's premiere hotel, the Fred Roberts mixes historic beauty and modern uses. Located in the center of Downtown Dublin, its early Art Deco architecture and rich interior has been perfectly preserved, and now serves as professional and retail spaces, as well as residential loft living.  Tours available Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
